Fall is the time when the studios and independent filmmakers release their most prestigious projects in order to qualify for the awards season starting in January. In this class, we will select the most interesting film release each week during the fall semester. Participants will view the film of the week on their own at one of the local theatres and then we will come together on Sunday to analyze and discuss it. (Note: There may not be worthwhile films available every week so, we will skip those weeks without good choices. Therefore, the number of class sessions will be variable but we will do a minimum of six new films.)
