Intermediate Handmade Books: Coptic Bound Journal

Please read:  "Tools and Supplies: Craft knife (Exacto or Olfa), cutting mat, metal-edged ruler, scissors, tapestry needle, awl (can substitute a push-pin), bone folder, mitering tool (optional), glue stick (UHU brand recommended), PVA (white) glue, a cheap brush for applying the glue, pencil, eraser, and 2 small/medium binder clips.

Materials:
Covers: 
Book Board (can use the heavy cardboard backing from a paper pad)
2 sheets of decorative paper or book cloth (approx. 8 x 10 and grained long)
Endpapers: 
2 sheets of 8.5” x 11” decorative papers (approx. 90 - 110 lb.; grained long)

Note: Pre-cut mixed-media paper for the signatures and the 3-ply linen thread for the binding will be supplied by the instructor ($10.00 per-student purchase fee).
