This term will cover gardening basics including soil, nutrition and watering, plus botany basics, propagation techniques, pest ID and control, native Hawaiian plants and problem diagnosis and solutions. Note that specific topics in Tropical Gardening vary by term, basics and problem solving are offered every term, others rotate by term.

6/23 - Botany – Sex in the Garden plant physiology & reproduction
6/30 - Plant Propagation: Sexual & Asexual – with seeds, cuttings, layers & grafts
7/7 - Pest ID identifying weeds, insects & diseases
7/14 - Pest Control organic methods for controlling weeds, insects & diseases
7/21 - Hawaiian Heritage Plants identification of plants native to Hawaii
7/28 - Diagnosing Plant Problems figuring out what is wrong with your plants
8/4 - Solving Plant Problems group discussion of plant problems & solutions
