Amateur pianist Lloyd Lim will give “prompts” for at home YouTube listening in the field of symphonic music.   What is meant by “prompts?”  In class, he will show short excerpts from videos of complete symphonies with first-rate performers.  Students may then choose what videos to listen to in full length (and when) on their own time.  Because listening to symphonic music is time-consuming, it is understood that students may not be able to watch videos as “homework” for the next class.
