ID : 798
« back to classes page
This series picks up at the end of 1914 with the deadlock of trench warfare and takes us through the major battles on many different fronts that failed to produce a decisive victory for either side. We then look in depth at the US entry into the war in 1917 and also in depth at the two Russian revolutions in 1917 and their withdrawal from the war.

In the concluding series in the Fall 2025 term we will see the final battles, the armistice, the Versailles Peace Conference, and the tragic results of this great conflict.

Slide lectures on Zoom with time for Q&A. A list of suggested resources will be provided and weekly handouts showing slide bullet points.
