The course will focus on the historical evolution, theoretical basis, and current challenges which Russia faces in the international system. It will cover the Soviet collapse in 1991 to the present. Emphasis will be placed on relations between Russia and the US, European-Russian relations, the Russo-Ukrainian war, Russia's relations with China, North Korea, the Middle East, and Africa.

Prof Weiner is a Center Associate at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, Harvard University; and is currently working on a book about the Russo-Ukrainian War.
