We will conclude our year-long study of World War I with 4 sessions. The first will look at the direct and long-term impacts the war had on the US. The second addresses the US contributions to the fighting, the final battles, and the armistice that ended the fighting in the West in 1918. Session 3 will look at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919 and the Versailles treaty that resulted, while the 4th session will examine the war in the Mideast and the influence that the results of that conflict continue to have today. Four 2-hour Zoom presentations with PowerPoint slides and opportunities for questions and discussion. A handout of references and resources will be provided in advance of the first session.

Slide lectures on Zoom with time for Q&A. A list of suggested resources will be provided and weekly handouts showing slide bullet points.
