A short introduction into Western Calligraphy, its history, evolution, and how you can express yourself with beautiful handwriting. Class will be in-person and limited to12 students. Four, 3-hour classes. I will supply students with online material and information on which tools to take to first class.

Michael has taught Calligraphy classes in Philadelphia, Santa Cruz CA, and Kamuela at Open Universities (no college credit). He studied calligraphy in Oregon with master calligrapher Lloyd Reynolds (1970). His degree is in Anthropology and believes handwriting is all about being human. He will teach the appreciation of the English alphabet, its history and how to draw letterforms.
